Journey planners are updated to reflect the timetable we plan to operate.
Information on upcoming engineering work is available here. These alterations may be added to journey planners later (where this is the case, it is noted in the individual engineering work entries).
Online timetables
Online timetables are available below. Please note that these timetables do not reflect:
- Weekend and overnight alterations made owing to engineering work
- Any alterations due to on-the-day disruption
Whichever way you plan your journey, please remember to re-check your journey using the journey planner before you travel for on-the-day alterations.

Where possible, you are advised to travel at less busy times. Information on how busy we expect trains to be, updated on a daily basis, is available in our on-line timetables and live departures. More information on this is available here.

Monday to Friday
London Bridge to East Croydon (All stations via Sydenham)
These trains will not run.
If you are at Anerley or Penge West, you will need to change trains for services to London Bridge or East Croydon, for example at Norwood Junction.
Please note that Norwood Junction is not step free access. Step free access is available to interchange at West Croydon.
If you are at New Cross Gate, Brockley, Honor Oak Park, Forest Hill or Sydenham you will need to change trains for East Croydon, for example at Norwood Junction.
Please note that Norwood Junction is not step free access. Step free access is available to interchange at West Croydon or Clapham Junction.
London Bridge to London Victoria
Two trains per hour will run in each direction calling at New Cross Gate, Brockley, Honor Oak Park, Forest Hill, Sydenham, Crystal Palace, Gipsy Hill, West Norwood, Streatham Hill, Balham, Wandsworth Common, Clapham Junction and Battersea Park
London Bridge to Caterham via Tulse Hill
Will now run between London Bridge and East Croydon via Tulse Hill.
If you are travelling to/from Caterham, Whyteleafe, Whyteleafe South and Kenley and require services via Tulse Hill, you will need to change trains at East Croydon.
London Bridge to Caterham/Tattenham Corner
Will call additionally at Norwood Junction to provide more London Overground connections.
Hemel Hempstead/Watford Junction to East Croydon
Services between Hemel Hempstead/Watford Junction and Clapham Junction will now be extended through to East Croydon, providing additional services for Balham, Streatham Common, Norbury, Thornton Heath, Selhurst and East Croydon.
London Bridge to Beckenham Junction via Tulse Hill
Two trains per hour will run in each direction for most of the day.
London Victoria to West Croydon via Crystal Palace
Will not run after approximately 20:00.
London Victoria to Epsom via Carshalton
At busy times, four services per hour will run in each direction.
In the off peak two services per hour will run.
London Bridge to Uckfield
Will increase to one train per hour throughout the middle of the day.
London Victoria to East Grinstead
An additional service at 19:20 will run from London Victoria towards East Grinstead, with a service from East Grinstead to London Victoria at 20:36.
London Bridge to Bognor Regis / Portsmouth / Southampton via Arun Valley
Some services will now run in and out of London Victoria instead of London Bridge.
Brighton to Lewes
An additional hourly service will run between Brighton and Lewes during peak hours, calling at Brighton, London Road (Brighton), Moulsecoomb, Falmer and Lewes.
Brighton to Hastings
Will call additionally at London Road (Brighton) during off peak hours improving connectivity to the Brighton area.
Brighton to Hove
An additional hourly service will run between Brighton and Hove. Providing additional connections for services towards London Victoria and stations towards Littlehampton.
Saturdays
London Bridge to East Croydon (All stations via Sydenham)
These trains will not run.
If you are at Anerley or Penge West, you will need to change trains for services to London Bridge or East Croydon, for example at Norwood Junction.

London Bridge to Caterham/Tattenham Corner/Purley
Caterham and London Bridge services will run non-stop between Norwood Junction and London Bridge.
One train per hour will run between Tattenham Corner and Purley. You will have to change at Purley for connections towards London and Gatwick Airport.
London Victoria to West Croydon via Crystal Palace
Will not run after approximately 20:00.
Crystal Palace and London Bridge via Tulse Hill
Will not run.
London Victoria to Epsom
Two trains per hour will run via Carshalton.
London Victoria and Sutton Via West Croydon
Two trains per hour will run.
Monday to Friday
Cambridge to King’s Cross (stopping services)
During the middle of the day, two trains per hour will run between King’s Cross and Letchworth Garden City . One train per hour will continue beyond Letchworth Garden City to Cambridge calling at Baldock, Ashwell & Morden, Royston, Meldreth, Shepreth and Foxton. After 20:00, the service on this route will be hourly.
Brighton to Cambridge
The 19:12, 20:12, 21:12 and 22:12 service to Cambridge will call additionally at Welwyn Garden City, Welwyn North and Knebworth.
Saturday
Cambridge to Kings Cross
For journeys to and from stations between Letchworth Garden City and Cambridge, the time of trains on the all-stations route will change. During the middle of the day, two trains per hour (stopping services) will run between Letchworth Garden City and King’s Cross, with one train per hour extended to run between Letchworth Garden City and Cambridge. After 20:00, the service on this route will be hourly.
Brighton to Cambridge
The 19:12, 20:12, 21:12 and 22:12 service to Cambridge will call additionally at Welwyn Garden City, Welwyn North and Knebworth.
How do I find out about engineering works?
Always check your journey before you travel, as there may be changes to services due to engineering work and any local disruption on the day. Online journey planners may only be updated with works close to when they are due to happen.
In order to keep you informed we will continue to advise you when engineering work alterations have been updated. As soon as the information is available, details of work taking place will be advertised on our engineering work page here. Ticket information
For details of the availability of advance fares, please visit the advance ticket availability information here. If your pre-booked journey is changed, for example the time is amended, then you can either continue to travel on the revised timetable or apply for a refund.
